Wow, hello there!
It has been quite a long time since I have put a blog post together.

Let me reintroduce myself. I'm Vanessa, the owner, founder, original photographer for Sweet Rose.

I'm a little bit shy, but also, sometimes, outgoing. A weird mixture of introvert and extrovert. I love to share my passion for photography. Not just any photography, but the bond between parents and their new little family members is especially important and meaningful to me. I love to work with, pose, and make photographs of babies into little pieces of artwork for you to share and put up on your wall.

I love Fairbanks. We moved here in 2016, originally. The first year, I was indifferent, it was just another duty station, and we lived on Fort Wainwright. After a year of torture via on post housing situations, we decided to move out into the hills of Fairbanks, where we could get our kids into better schools and into a stable community. That was the best decision EVER, because we fell absolutely in love with this place. After twenty full years in the United States Air Force, my husband retired, and we moved back permanently last year, in June of 2024. By September I was itching to return to my love of photography, and reopened my beautiful rainbow studio here on Airport Way, Fairbanks. Striving to be THE best photographer in the area, showering clients with love, and appreciation, and watching these babies grow with my grow with me packages have made my heart incredibly full.

I'm a pretty open book, so if you have any questions for me about who I am or my journey, I'd be happy to share.

Here's a little photo of my own little rainbow baby that I took way back in 2021 and still cherish every day.
